# Delete a File Storage

You have created a file storage with the appropriate storage capacity. Now, your business needs have changed and you no longer need to use the created file storage. We recommend that you delete the file storage to optimize costs.

To delete a storage file, you can:

**Step 1:** Log in to <https://efs.console.greennode.ai/overview>

**Step 2:** Select the icon at the storage file you want to delete. Select **Delete**.

**Attention:**

* When a File Storage is deleted, you cannot use the same name for 7 days. After this period, you can create a new File Storage with the same name.
